MARS supports the UTA Wheelchair Mavericks, the wheelchair basketball team!  The UTA Movin Mavs are seven-time national champions and have always been supporters of our program.  This year, one of our swimmer's parents are on the Movin Mavs team.  One of them as a player and they other on the team staff. Neil Manning & Matthew Kahlig are competing in the USAS Open Water 5k National Championships on Sunday. Watch the MARS boys on a webcast on usaswimming.org GO MARS!!

  Matthew Kahlig will join Neil Manning at the USA Swimming Open Water 5k National Championships in Ft. Myers, FL on June 12th.  Matthew qualified for the event with his outstanding performance in the mile swim at TAGS earlier this month. The two MARS swimmers will compete against the world's best open water swimmers at this international event.

  Congratulations to Neil Manning for qualifying for the USA Swimming Open Water 5k National Championships this summer.  Neil will be traveling to Ft. Myers, FL to compete against the best open water swimmers in the world June 11-12, 2011. Neil qualified for nationals at the recent Chesapeake Pro-Am meet in Oklahoma City with an impressive swim in the mile (pool swim).  He has also applied to USA Swimming for the open water select camp the week preceding the championships.  Camp athletes will be announced later in the spring.
